Peroxidasin

A peroxidase originally isolated from DROSOPHILA that catalyzes the oxidation of bromide by hydrogen peroxide and generates hypobromite as a reactive intermediate. Its functions include a role in EXTRACELLULAR MATRIX assembly of COLLAGEN TYPE IV; LAMININ; and FIBRONECTIN.
