UDP Xylose-Protein Xylosyltransferase

A pentosyltransferase that initiates a series of post-translational modifications necessary for transport and secretion of proteoglycans. It is a key enzyme for glycosylation of the proteoglycan core.
Also Known As:
UDPxylosyltransferase; UDPxylose-Core Protein Xylosyltransferase; Xylosyltransferase; beta-D-Xylosyltransferase
