Iodothyronine Deiodinase Type II

An enzyme responsible for T4 (3,5,3',5'-tetraiodothyronine) to T3 (3,5,3'-TRIIODOTHYRONINE) conversion. May contribute to increasing T3 THYROID HORMONE production in patients with GRAVES DISEASE.
