ozone therapy is a therapy composed of ozone. This gas is in the atmosphere with various general effects: direct disinfectant and trophic effects and a systemic antibacterial and antiviral effect. This gas also improves blood circulation, makes glucose metabolism more effective, improves erythrocyte metabolism, and improves fatty acid metabolism. OBJECTIVE: METHODOLOGY: A bibliographic review focused on articles published between November 2014 and June 2023 was carried out. The following databases were consulted: Pubmed (Medline), Dialnet, Google Scholar, Web of Science (WOS), Scielo, and Scopus.
