Abstract | BACKGROUND:
Phlebitis is a severe inflammatory response in patients undergoing chemotherapy that can lead to complications and increased length of hospitalization. OBJECTIVE: RESULTS: No statistically significant difference was observed between the incidence of phlebitis in the sesame oil, nitroglycerin ointment and alcohol- betadine groups in the first 24 hours (p=0.2), the second 24 hours (p=0.13) and the third 24 hours (p=0.13).
