Abstract | UNLABELLED: PATIENTS AND METHODS: RESULTS: No hips have required revision surgery. Two patients have suffered early dislocations and there have been three major medical complications. The mean Merle D'Aubigne-Postel score was 15.1. Of the 25 radiographs available for review there were no cases of radiological loosening. DISCUSSION: This is further evidence that total hip replacement in the right hands provides good results for the treatment of displaced intracapsular femoral neck fractures. The Müller straight stem gives acceptable results in a select group of patients.
