[Combined treatment of pseudohermaphroditism].

AbstractOBJECTIVE:
To diagnose and treat female pseudohermaphroditism caused by 21-hydroxylase deficiencies.
METHODS:
Four female patients with 21-hydroxylase deficiencies have received combined treatment of reconstructive surgery and supplementary glucocorticoid in our hospital since 1990.
RESULTS:
The patients obtained a female external genitalia through the operation. Various symptoms resulted from 21-hydroxylase deficiency were improved with glucocorticoid therapy.
CONCLUSION:
A satisfying result can be achieved for pseudohermaphroditism by combination of surgery and medicine.
