Protein-Arginine Deiminase Type 3

A post-translational enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of protein bound arginine residues to CITRULLINE residues in a CALCIUM ion-dependent manner. PADI3 is a peptidylarginine deiminase isoenzyme expressed in epidermal tissue.
