Groups of 50 rats and 50 mice of each sex were administered 3-(chloromethyl)pyridine hydrochloride in a vehicle of distilled water three times per week at one of the following doses, either 75 or 150 mg/kg body weight for the rats and either 100 or 200 mg/kg body weight for the mice.
