[2 years experience in the treatment of myopia with photokeratectomy].

Abstract
The results of the PRK treatment started on june 91 on 30 myopic eyes between -4 and -16 D with the Meditec Mel 60 show: a tendency to overcorrection in high myopia, undercorrection in low myopia, a tendency to regression in high myopia of about 3 D and no regression in low myopia. A slight decentration of the treated area is common but the vision is not affected. The haze is often visible but never dramatic and decreases significantly with time. Most of the patients are fully satisfied in the visual rehabilitation if they do not expected emmetropia.
