[Treatment of staphylococcal lung destruction in children].

Abstract
The author has analyzed results of the treatment of 338 children with staphylococcal destruction of lungs. A conclusion is made that the puncture method of treatment is indicated in mild forms of the disease and in secondary serous pleuritis. Drainage of the pleural cavity is indicated for patients with empyema of the pleural cavity or pneumothorax. In 13 children (3,8 %) decortication of the lung was performed with its thrifty resection and suturing of the bronchial fistula. Lethality was 5,8 %.
