Controlling diabetes.

Abstract
Older people have a higher rate of poor blood sugar control. Age-related changes make insulin less effective and older people are more likely to have concomitant disease, visual impairment and decreased mobility. Older individuals also have years of established patterns and behaviours making adherence to diabetic control more difficult.
