Sagging rope sign

An abnormal feature in radiographic imaging characterized by a transverse line overlying the FEMORAL NECK. The sagging rope sign may represent the margins of the FEMORAL HEAD and/or growth arrest line. It is associated with bone diseases, e.g., PERTHES DISEASE and OSTEOCHONDRITIS.
